Indian bodybuilder Harman Dhillon has made a strong start to his competitive career in New Zealand, winning five medals across his first two natural Men’s Physique competitions.
Dhillon made his debut at the NZIFBB Natural Regional Waikato on October 24, where he won two gold medals in Men’s Physique categories.
A week later, at the NZIFBB Natural Pro Card Qualifier on October 31, he added another two gold medals and one overall silver medal.
The results give Dhillon a total of four golds and one silver from his first two appearances on the New Zealand bodybuilding stage.
Competing in natural bodybuilding, Dhillon said his focus has been on discipline, consistency and avoiding performance-enhancing drugs.
He said aspiring athletes should prioritise health and long-term progress rather than looking for shortcuts.
“Stay natural, stay disciplined and believe in your hard work,” Dhillon said.
“You do not need performance-enhancing drugs to build a great physique. Respect your health, trust the process and never give up on your dreams.”
Dhillon also thanked his coach and friend Deep, along with his wife, family and friends, for supporting him through his preparation and competitions.
His early success has drawn attention within the Indian community in New Zealand, particularly among young athletes interested in natural bodybuilding.
With five medals already secured from his first two competitions, Dhillon is now looking to build on that start as he continues competing in New Zealand’s natural bodybuilding circuit.
