Sydney (NZ Punjabi News) – Former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has been spotted running errands in Sydney as she and her family settle into their new life in Australia.
According to a report . Ardern was seen on Tuesday grocery shopping at a local Woolworths. Dressed casually in a denim shirt, blue trousers, sneakers, and sunglasses, she browsed the aisles before returning to her car with two shopping bags.
The everyday outing comes alongside reports that Ardern and her husband, Clarke Gayford, have purchased a A$5.3 million home in Dee Why, a beachside suburb in Sydney. The three-level property features five bedrooms, three bathrooms, private balconies, a swimming pool, and views stretching across both the ocean and the city skyline.
Addressing the transition, a spokesperson previously told 1News that the family is basing themselves in Australia for the time being following several years of international travel. The move was primarily driven by work commitments, while its proximity to New Zealand allows the family to visit home frequently.
Ardern stepped down as prime minister in January 2023, after which she and her family spent time living in the United States. Her recent Sydney appearance provides a rare glimpse into her low-key life post-politics.
